• Consultations and vaccinations
We perform a complete health check for every consultation and a written report is provided upon request. Puppies and kittens receive a free puppy or kitten pack at their first visit that includes 1 month of free flea control.

• Fully equipped medical and surgical facilities
Dentistry is an important component of your pets health care. We perform dental examinations and have a dental X-Ray machine and brand new dental station (good enough to do owners teeth as well!)
We have a new Xray machine and an automatic processor to improve the quality and speed of developing Xray films. 
We have specialised equipment including blood pressure monitor, endoscope and ECG machine.
We do in house blood testing and microscopic examinations for rapid results. 

• Grooming service
We have a professional grooming service at the Altona Veterinary Clinic every Tuesday for both dogs and cats 

• Cat Adoption Centre
You can adopt stray and unwanted cats or kittens from our clinic through the Cat Adoption Centre.

• Puppy Preschool program 
A wonderful and positive socialisation and learning experience for both new dog owners and for their new puppy. 

• Self service hydrobath
Call in at any time during our opening hours to use the hydrobath. With warm water and massage jets, this is a great way to clean your pet without hurting your back and staying dry! 

• Pet insurance

With the costs of quality veterinary care increasing, we highly recommend taking out pet insurance. Having pet insurance eliminates the stress of the financial side of things so that you can concentrate on getting your pet the best care possible when they are unwell. • Desexings - cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets.
• A good range of pet food and merchandise.
• Vern Ryan Kennels pick up and drop off service - if you need to board your dog in kennels, Vern Ryan Dog Kennels have a service where you can drop off and pick up your dogs at our clinic for convenience.
